The Lobster Shack in Souris

The most delicious lobster roll and oysters l I have ever had! The beach offered a beautiful view while we ate. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well.

I had the lobster grilled cheese. Best thing I've ever put in my mouth. I still dream about that sandwich. 100% will tell everyone about this place.

Amazing lobster rolls...just the right amount of ingredients while leaving plenty room to experience the natural flavour of the lobster in a toasted bread which made the experience extra special.

Although the lobster roll was good, I was upset with the way I was treated. I was yelled at to go outside because there were too many people in the building. Then later when my friends and I were eating we were told "the garbage is over there girls!" In a manner that suggested we were going to leave all our garbage on the table. There were other people eating outside who were not told this. We are not children. It was a group of five 22-23 year old women with university degrees. We were not going to litter. And although I am officially a NB resident I have a cottage near Souris. My parents love it at the Lobster Shack but I won't be back.

Visited 9/17/2019 from Kingston ON. I had the lobster roll platter - my first lobster roll. It was loaded with lobster and just lightly dressed with mayo and a sprinkling of paprika - just what I was hoping for as I didn't fancy some kind of lobster 'salad' loaded with mayo and veg. Probably best value on island at $14.95. Hubby had grilled cheese, not being a lobster fan. Great deck overlooking the water. Definitely recommend.

The lobster roll tastes great and the lobster plater is also good for reasonable prices.

It was a highly mediocre weather day when we arrived at the Lobster Shack. We had read all the favourable reviews and were looking forward to experiencing some delicious seafood ourselves, they did not disappoint. We had steamed lobster, clams and lobster roll. All were fantastic, cooked perfect and reasonably priced. Next time in PEI we will definitely revisit, but we'll try for better weather.

We tried every lobster roll in the area, and this was by far the best. The lobster roll was delicious, warm buttery bread with a generous amount of lobster for the price. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent.

Best lobster roll we’ve had so far!

I shared lobster roll platter and steamed softshell clams. My partner had 6 oysters on top. We paid around 55 dollars. Lobster roll came with chips and pickles. The taste was well balanced with buttered bread. I wanted to eat more if I didn't have anything else. Clams are big and flavorful (cooked with celery and onions). Seasonings are very simple for both which I could taste the seafood itself. It was a great find!

The Lobster roles are to DIE for and the Muscles are just as good! Wow!

We found this spot on the way back from East Point Lighthouse. It is so good! Visiting the island we knew that oysters and lobsters were going to be on the menu. We started the trip at an oyster house and when we got here, we were told that there is a distinct difference between a "lobster dinner" and a "lobster roll"...each worthy of experiencing.When we drove by this beach we saw the sign and thought, "why not try it?" We are so glad we did!! It won the 2019 best lobster roll award (we found out once we went inside) and for good reason! $15 for a fantastic lobster roll. The bun was perfectly toasted and had the feel of what we used to call "fluffy white bread." It was stuffed with a huge amount of lobster salad, and came with a side of sweet pickles and potato chips.They also sell live & frozen lobsters as well as bulk unshucked oysters. (They do sell shucked oysters too - I had 1/2 dozen and loved them!We're already planning to go back one more time before we head home!
